This project provides a feeder route from Dundrum to the Southern Cross section of the M50 Ring Motorway at the proposed Ballinteer Interchange.
The principal elements of the project were as follows:
- 3.5km single carriageway new roads through suburban environment.
- Cycle Track system along the full route.
- 3 Roundabouts.
- One signal controlled junction.
- A river bridge structure over the Slang River and extensive culverting of other rivers and streams.
- Upgrading and renewal of utilities.
- Extensive accommodation works for landowners including several km of
- Masonry walls, river training works and fencing.
- Relocation of 1km of an arterial watermain.
