Public Contracts:
The substantial investment that is currently being made in the Transport Infrastructure of Ireland is responsible for a major part of the Civil Engineering and Tarmacadam department in SM Morris.
Our strategic location in Wicklow and proximity to South County Dublin has helped our continued success in these areas working on projects for The National Development Plan and Transport 21. The contracts department has been involved in the construction of most of the major projects in the South East (e.g N11 Ashford Rathnew Bypass, Greystones Southern Access Route, Bray Southern Cross Route) and has done extensive work for Dunlaoghaire Rathdown County Council, Fingal County Council, Dublin City Council, South Dublin County Council.
Commercial Contracts:
The construction of roads, car parks and footways for commercial, industrial and housing projects is the second largest activity of the Contracts Department.
Private Contracts:
The Contracts department also caters for the road making needs of private individuals such as the construction of driveways, access roads, car parks and all-weather pitches.
Innovation:
The Contracts Department works continuously to produce new materials and surfacing techniques which cater to the evolving needs of our customer base. SM Morris is at the forefront of the road construction industry is the use of materials such as Stone Mastic Asphalt and Thin Surfacing.
Road Construction is a core activity within the SM Morris group. Throughout the years we have specialised in supplying and laying the complete range of road construction materials - Stone / Aggregates Concrete Tarmacadams / Asphalts
